ABOUT Linda Perratt Racing
Linda Perratt - The First Lady of Scottish Racing.
Linda was a top quality amateur rider who piloted ten flat race winners for trainers John Wilson of Cree Lodge in Ayr and Colin Parker of Lockerbie.
She was an outstanding showjumper prior to that and has spent a lifetime in the world of horses.
Linda began training by succeeding John Wilson at Ayr in 1991 and over the years has become widely known for producing winners at racecourses from Perth in the north to Royal Ascot in the south.
Indeed, she remains the only Scottish trainer to saddle a winner at Royal Ascot – when Big Timer triumphed in the Wokingham Stakes in 2009.
Linda also produced Ho Leng to win the Bunbury Cup at Newmarket in what is still a record time. Another of her horses, Ho Choi, ran the superstar Rock of Gibraltar to its closest finish, in the Gimcrack Stakes at York.
She is now building up her new, state-of-the-art training establishment at North Allerton, Jackton, by East Kilbride and can currently house up to 45 horses, with expansion plans ongoing. Visitors to the yard are always made welcome, on giving appropriate notice.
It is very important to Linda that every owner gets the utmost of attention to ensure that the experience of owning a horse is pleasurable and satisfying.
